How Reincarnation Works

Your first build can change

Your race and guild aren’t permanent choices. Reincarnation lets you choose new ones while keeping your earned experience. You spend it again on levels and training for your new path.

What changes when you reincarnate?

You return to level 1. Your spent experience returns as level and skill experience to rebuild. A temporary penalty reduces new experience gains.

In the game, type help reincarnation for the full rules, or ask on the newbie channel for help deciding when to change.

Saving a plan leaves your current character unchanged.

From saved plan to next life

1. Save a plan in the builder

Choose Plan a new build, pick your race, guild and backgrounds, then name it and choose Save build in Review & save.

Return to the builder and sign in with the same character. Open My builds in the header, then Edit build to make changes. Saved builds are available across devices.

2. Get a reincarnation in game

Type reincers to find available Chronomancers, or reincers all to see everyone online who knows the spell. Ask one to arrange your reincarnation and follow their instructions.

At levels 2–30, Rassdael also offers reincarnation without a fee. Find him one room west of the Temple of the Dead, west of Vaerlon. Type ask rassdael about reinc for his explanation. When you are ready, ask rassdael about force rebirth starts it.

3. Use your saved plan

Once reincarnation brings you to the room where you choose your gender and race, use these commands before making those choices:

build: List this character’s saved plans and their codes.
build CODE: Review the plan and check its choices.
build CODE confirm: Apply the plan you just reviewed.

Replace CODE with the code beside your saved build. You can also make the usual in-game choices. Join your guild and spend your returned experience after creation.
